How do weather cancellations work?
In the event of a cancellation due to bad weather, you will receive a 100% refund. We’ll send out an email and text message no later than 7 AM on the day of your scheduled trip to notify you of a cancellation. If you do not receive an email or text regarding a cancellation, the trip will go on as scheduled. Prohibitive weather includes thunderstorms, flooding, and air temperatures cooler than 72 degrees.
Where can I store my valuables?
We will lock our valuables inside the vehicles. You can store small valuables like your phone, wallet, and keys. We do not recommend taking any valuables with you during the float. Storage is small and will not be able to accommodate large items such as suitcases or duffel bags.
What is the refund policy?
We issue 100% refunds for cancellations made more than 48-hours in advance of the scheduled trip time. We do not issue refunds inside of 48-hours of the scheduled trip time. We do not issue refunds for no-shows. In the event of weather that cancels one of our trips, we will give you a 100% refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of your trip or do not show up for your trip, no refund will be issued. No exceptions.
How and when will I get my refund? You will receive a confirmation email regarding your refund within 24 hours. Please allow 5-10 business days for this refund to post to your account.
Do your vehicles have A/C?

My credit card is expired or cancelled. How will I get my refund?
If the card that you have refunded is expired or cancelled, your new card will be credited with the refund. In the rare case that you don’t have a new card, the bank will usually send the refund to your bank account.
In the worst case, the bank won’t know what to do, and will send the refund back to us, at which point we’ll contact you via email to ask how you would like to handle the refund.
Do we take walk-ons?
No. Please reserve a space online or by phone for a trip.
Are there restrooms in the vehicles?
No. There are restrooms available at the pick up and drop off location.

We float the San Marcos River
What do you provide for river tubing?
Roamer Tours provides:
- Coolers
- Cooler tubes
- Tubes
- Ice
- Life vests (upon request)
- Round trip transportation from Austin to the river
- A host
Roamer Tours does not provide:
- Water
- Beer/Alcohol
- Food
- Sunscreen
- We do not stop on the way to the river. Please bring all necessary items with you.
How long does it take to float the river?
2-4 hours. The drive to the river is about 25 minutes in each direction.
How long is the drive to and from the river?
About 25 minutes depending on traffic
What type of attire should I bring/wear?
We recommend bringing:
- Sunscreen
- Hat/sunglasses
- Swim wear
- Water shoes/flip-flops
Are there restaurants near by? Should I bring food?
There are no restaurants on the trip and we make no extra stops. We recommend bringing snacks, wraps, or pre-made sandwiches.
Are children allowed? Are dogs allowed?
No. 18+, no exceptions.
Dogs are not allowed, unless it is a service dog.
Where do you meet for River Tubing?
We pick up at 121 Pickle Road, Austin Texas. The location is called Cosmic Coffee and Biergarten
Do you provide life vests?
Yes, we have life vests at our location. Please let one of our float hosts know during check-in that you would like a life vest. We are happy to provide as many as your group needs.
Can I bring my own cooler?
No. we provides coolers which are included in the price of your ticket.
Can I provide my own tube?
No, do not bring your own tube. We cannot fit extra tubes in our vehicles. Roamer Tours provides tubes.
What is the water temperature?
72 degrees year round.
How deep is the river?
The depth of the river is a foot deep at the most shallow points and 10 ft deep at the deepest.
Are you handicap accessible?
No, at this time we are not handicap accessible.
Where do I park at the pickup/drop off location?
Free lot parking is available.
